I was able to get some electrical stuff done despite my cast.
- Added a 3rd solar panel, this time a smaller 50 watt one (total is now 250 watts in theory). This should help cover normal usage during the day while allowing the battery to charge (if there is sun). Wanted to add two but there is a gps/cellular antenna on the drivers side so just went with one and centered it.
- Replaced the combo solar charge controller / DC-DC charger that was not working correctly with a dedicated DC-DC charger, which provides power and charging from the alternator when the engine is running. Had already gone back to the original dedicated solar charger controller (inside the van so I can see the display).
- Tightened up the wiring a bit more so stuff will hopefully not wiggle loose on the road.
